BULTUM MEDIA: ETHIOPIAN GOVERNMENT ARRESTED PROMINENT ACTIVIST, OPPOSITION LEADERS AND JOURNALIST AMID PROTESTS
Federal police arrested the
prominent Oromo Activist,s Leaders of Opposition Party and a well Known Journalist
on Tuesday after his bodyguards refused orders to disarm, the OMN (Oromo Media
Network) television station reported, as protests spread in the Oromia region
over the killing of a popular singer Hacalu Hundessa.
The Oromia Media Network is owned by Jawar Mohammed, a prominent activist Jawar Mohammed and the opposition party leader Bakele Garba including the Journalist Hamza Borana are taken by security forces during the popular singer funeral. The Oromo people condemned the prime minister of not protecting the interests of the Oromo. They said that the Prime Minister continues violating human right and oppressing Oromo people in which Human Right Watch and Amnesty International stated in their report last month.
Many Oromo People belive that
Ethiopian government preplanned and orchestrated the killing of the Hacalu Hudesaa
as well as the arrest of influential figure of Oromo people behind the curtain
of Nobel peace prize.
